Really love your theme but silly question, is this image you use for the cloud/saas version of your demo a real wordpress theme or php script http://stratus-3c99.kxcdn.com/stratus/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/macbook-saas.png ?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hello, that link is just a CDN service to help deliver content faster as our demos are viewed around the world. It’s all part of our demo.
ReplyDeleteIt’s an image.
ReplyDeleteso the application showing in that image isn’t a real application. Just something you created for the demo?
ReplyDeleteThat’s right. We just made something in Photoshop
ReplyDeleteWhat is the best way to create customize-able blog post teasers and make the theme recognize them?
ReplyDeleteI’d like to avoid relying on the random / initial snippets of the post content to represent them in the summary / archive / blog pages and instead write clear summaries with a clear/ targeted copy to promote the blog content. Same summary to go into email newsletter
How should I do this?
Hi, yes our themes support the standard WordPress Excerpt feature which works well for that. Here is info on how to add it:
ReplyDeletehttps://wpshout.com/quick-guides/set-custom-post-excerpt-wordpress/
Thank you, this works for me
ReplyDeleteOne question though, the article claims that Excerpt feature is limited to 55 words (“Add the copy you want to use as an excerpt for your post. WordPress is automatically set to only display 55 words for this feature”)
Is it possible to change / raise this limit?
No problem. Yes it’s possible to change it using a filter: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_excerpt/#user-contributed-notes
ReplyDeleteI can’t seem to change the order of the different ‘boxes’ on each page, dragging and dropping doesn’t seem to work.
ReplyDeleteHello, thanks for letting us know. Try using the sort tab under the meta box builder meta box and save your changes. Should be good. Let us know if that won’t work for you.
ReplyDeleteOh I see, yea that worked, I thought I had to drag the boxes themselves! Thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteHappy to help.
ReplyDeleteWhat would best way to make 2 columns with left side being image carousel and right side be sales pitch + signup? I’m trying to make a landing page.
ReplyDeleteDo you see anything in our demo that you like? I can tell you how we did it on our demo. If not, I recommend using a 2 column shortcode and then adding what you need to each side. The slider_gallery shortcode is great for slide shows. https://themovation.ticksy.com/article/5869/ – 2 column short looks like rowContent goes here/columnContent goes here/column . – if you need any help just let me know.
ReplyDeleteThx for the info, I’ll try it out tomorrow and see how it goes. Don’t think I saw something like it in the demo. But basically want to make something like this.
ReplyDeletehttps://gyazo.com/9b724427c8ffbeabc8261ae55a60bf36
but then with the left side being multiple images that you can flick thru and change every few secs and better looking for course in general
Thank you for the follow up.
ReplyDeleteI think your best bet is a 2 column layout using our shortcode above and then adding the slider_gallery on one side, the other side you could use our button shortcode to add a button and some text. It should work out well I think.
I noticed that my example didn’t come through last time, let me try again.
[row][column span="6"][slider_gallery ids="1099,1095" width="100%"][/column][column span="6"]Content goes here<br />[themo_button text="Buy" url="#google" type="standard" target="_blank"][/column][/row]
Should give you something like: https://cl.ly/2x0f0n1A3s0J
For more info on slider_gallery please see: https://themovation.ticksy.com/article/5869/
Thanks a lot for the help that code great starting point, any way to remove the header and foot to turn it into a single page landingpage.
ReplyDeleteYup, here is to hide the footer, https://themovation.ticksy.com//article/7074 and here to hide the header https://themovation.ticksy.com//ticket/1219292/ – I hope that helps.
