Hi, I have a question. My clients loves this theme. :))) He has been using it for a while, and asked, if it is possible to disable the menu on one of his pages, so he can use it as a landing page. I havent find a solution, but I wanted to be sure, so I asked. Is it possible? Thank you for your answer.
ReplyDeleteThere’re few ways to accomplish but using CSS seems to be the simplest one. Please insert this code to Customize > Addional CSS:

While 548 is the page ID (while edit page, look at the address bar you’ll see page ID).

We have another theme running at another website we built at www.leanrt-w.de, which also uses the VC. Is it possible that this is the problem? Since the ftp server seems to be the same.

2/ Please add this code to Customize > Custom CSS:
#primary {width:100%; padding-right:0 }
Note that by this way, you’ll disable sidebar for all pages. You can disable sidebar for each page by choosing fullwidth template for the page you wish to set fullwidth.

About the “another page with a list of categories with list layout”, I don’t totally get it because categories don’t have thumbnail image so if you want to list them in a list, you can use WP Categories element from page builder or list them manually by text.

ReplyDeleteI used Futura (with font weight 300) for the words “Simple”, “Elegant” and “Libre Baskerville” for the character “&”. Please note that Futura is not a free font. However, you can use alternative free fonts such as Lovelo or Josefin Sans.

After installing, please go to Apperance > Install Plugins to install neccessary plugins.

Hello, I have done that many times… it does not work. I even tried doing the child theme just to see (of course it wont let me do it without the parent theme) but I can’t get it to work

I do have one other question. I can’t seem to get a sidebar to work on the store/shop dedicated page with Woocomerace. Could you point me in the right direction. Thank you for letting me know. One other questions, is there a way to HIDE the large Featured image from the post itself and only show it on the preview. It takes up so much of the full blog post? I would rather it not, or to be able to use a much smaller image. Thank you!

1) I know there is a boxed layout for the home page, but can this boxed layout be applied for all pages? (i.e About, Portfolio, etc)? I notice that an image background is featured on the boxed layout homepage, but it seems to disappear on the other pages (i.e. About, Portfolio etc.) I would like to replace the image with a solid colour fill which features across all pages, is this possible?
2) Is there an option to have an image slider on the boxed layout home page instead of a single still image (which is shown in the demo)?
3) Are you able to have 2 portfolios on the website i.e. one for photography and one for weddings? (Note I’d need 2 portfolios rather than separating the portfolio posts in to categories)

ReplyDelete1/ Boxed layout applied for whole site and indeed, it can not be applied for only single page (ie. only homepage for instance). In my demo, it shows only for homepage because I just wanna tell you that boxed layout is possible and I had to use a trick to do so. And if you don’t set background image, background color you set will be applied.
In short, yes for your demand.
2/ Yes. Indeed, it’s a slider with only 1 slide (because I’m just lazy). You can add unlimited number of slides you want.
3/ Unfortunately using categories is the only solution for my theme at this time.

ReplyDeleteI have few questions about the theme. I have purchased and installed and overall love the experience so far.
Is it possible to rearrange the social icons? By default, Facebook would come first, LinkedIN next, etc, while I would like to achieve a slightly different order.
From what I have seen, the Journal page does auto-crop the images to align them correctly. However, I have noticed that under some circumstances (e.g. when image is too small) the Journal will get scrambled and not aligned correctly. Same applies for when adding an image in the Team Member component. Is there a minimum size of the image in order for the auto scaling of images to work fine>
Also, the Journal page misses a heading/title and there seems to be no way to add it via the editor. Is there a way to add a title on the Journal page?

For your first screenshot, that’s the “post grid element” I built by Visual Composer.
For the second one, that’s the default blog grid layout. You can control number of words in the excerpt at Appearance > Customize > Blog > Excerpt Length.
