I have modified the html on this to remove some sections but now get an error message

We found your <layout> and </layout> tags, but couldn’t track down a <singleline>, <multiline> or tag.
However there are <singleline>, <multiline> tags throughout the document. can you help?

if you want to delete an section you need to delete entire layout from <layout> </layout> and leave no empty layout tag.

ReplyDeleteI am new to responsive email design and have a basic understanding of html and css.
How do you recommend going about modifying the template for upload to mail chimp? I dropped the index file straight into dreamweaver and hacked away at the code I didn’t want and when I put my own image links in it got whacky on MailChimp (was only sending with the top banner portion and nothing else). Do you redesign in photoshop and then export with the save for web function?
Would really appreciate any suggestions you may have.

you can use stampready online editor, to edit the template , change the pictures , edit the text and export it and use it in mailchimp.
but if you insist to you can use mailchimp editor . but not user friendly as stampready . but never use dreamviewer to edite the template.

ReplyDeleteLove them theme but as I am importing the (zip > folder > images folder, thumbnails folder, & html file) it still comes up with “invalid zip format” on stampready. Any ideas? Thank you!

there is a folder in the package name stampready. you need to zip the folder from out side not inside it means right click on the folder an zip it.

ReplyDeleteWe are using this template for a company newsletter and are nearly done setting it up. However, some of the images are not displaying correctly in Outlook and on mobile devices. It looks like the issue likes with the background-image portion, as Outlook and some mobile devices ignore this and do not load images associated with it.
Can you please let me know if there is an alternate way to get images to display like this?

There is no way to show background image on outlook and the devices not support this feature. but you can use image instead of background image but you lose texts. for example in this template , for video module you can use an image instead of background image.

Hi I have recently purchased this product. Unfortunately it does not perform as well as in the demo. It is not until I purchased you realize that a lot of the modules do not render well in email clients due to background images.
ReplyDeleteFor example, module 1, 3, 5, 8 cannot be used, which were the key reasons for purchasing this theme, which made it stand out. Most of my email list do use Outlook so can not use these.
In Outlook module 3,4 & 19 do not render well at all, they spread to fill the screen with 3 & 4 not looking right when screen is smaller.
All the other modules look OK.
Reading your support I understand the point about the background images.
What can we do to fix the rendering issues without us both spending a lot of time on it.
If it can not be done easily can your refund and I will look for a different template.

However I’m having a MASSIVE problem with the video module….
I need to include 4 videos – but every time I add one and add the URL they ALL show the same video – ie I can’t show 4 different videos which is very very frustrating.
Any ideas on how to get this great feature working?

This template is not working with Stamp Ready. I have tried to zip the file with the stamp ready folder in the zip file containing the image, thumb, and index files. I then tried the way having a regular zip file without the stampready folder and just image, thumb, and index files. Still didn’t work. I really need to get this email ready.

ReplyDeleteI’m using your theme “Agency” and when sending test emails the font in some of the modules seems to be defaulting to Times New Roman.
Is there a way to address this issue and stop it from happening? I’d like it to send in the sans-serif font that appears in the editor.

the first font of this template is Raleway imported from google fonts and the second font is tahoma. if the google font is not supported in the app , the app uses the second font and if the second font not installed in the device the app uses the first default font of the device.
if you want change the fonts you need to have some html knowledge. open the code and replace the fonts.
Thanks for the info. I should have been more clear I guess, because the font works in the body of the email, but does not work in the headers… is there a way to fix that issue? I’m happy to send a screen shot as well if that would help.
ReplyDeleteBasically it doesn’t work when the font is large, but for the links, body sections of the modules, and text-only modules, the font is appearing as Raleway (I believe) or some other sans serif font, but then the headers appear in Times New Roman.

I purchased this template and imported it to Mailchimp. I edited the code to only remove the buttons from the very top section – but as soon as I switch to “Edit Design” in Mailchimp, everything below the “Top Banner” section disappears. It seems to do this if I edit anything on the template.
ReplyDeleteIt is fine if I just import the template and go to “Edit Design”, it’s all there. But as soon as I edit anything in the code the bottom half of the template disappears from the “Edit Design” view. Any ideas why this is and how to fix it?
I even tried editing the template in StampReady but then when I export to a ZIP and try to import it to Mailchimp I get this error:

The templates doesn’t work when an email is received on Google Inbox, fonts are not loaded and the structure is destroyed.
