  11. I would like to put the slider just on the home page and select the category evidence. How can I do that?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi.

    1. Select your category.

    2. Add the following css code, to custom.css:

    body:not('.home') #mainslider { display: none; }

    ReplyDelete
  13. sorry I didn’t explain it clear: this script put off the slider in home.

    I wont the Slider ONLY on the Home page.

    I just want to put off on the rest of the website.

    Is it possibile?

  14. Something is wrong. I deleted the script

    body:not(’.home’) #mainslider { display: none; }

    I activated the slider in the theme. Now I see it only on the internal pages

    http://volabo.mosaic-web.it/16/

    It’s not a question of CSS because the slider won’t be loaded on the page

    I open this issue 7 days ago, by telling you that:

    the widget doesn’t allow to choose a category.

    this is the page

    http://volabo.mosaic-web.it/16/wp-admin/post.php?post=2246&action=edit

    that’s the first issue that I put in evidence in this long discussion.

    you have the credential so you can proof yourself.

  36. Hello, I wasn’t able to log onto my website until I disabled this theme using an FTP. Once I was in, I tried to view my website and got this error=

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /homepages/42/d239411133/htdocs/califoreigners/wp-content/themes/newmagz/includes/widgets/warrior-ad-300×250.php on line 11

    opening the warrior-ad-300×250.php this is what i see at line 11 =

    add_action( ‘widgets_init’, function() {
    register_widget( ‘Warrior_Sidebar_300_250’ );
    });

    how can i fix this error?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I managed to get the theme to work again by just deleting that entire line in the widgets-ad-300×250.php. Though I’m pretty sure that’s not the correct fix, so an official fix would help a lot. thanks

    Could you please tell me how to increase the size of the slider? It’s appearing to be smaller on my website than the one shown in the template.

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi.

    Please try to customize this file at items value, /js/functions.js/

    $('.warrior-carousel-4').owlCarousel({
    items: 4,
    startPosition: 2,
    nav: true,
    loop: true,
    autoplay: true,
    autoplayTimeout: 5000,
    autoplayHoverPause: true,
    stopOnHover: true,
    responsive: {
    0: {
    items: 1,
    startPosition: 1
    },
    480: {

    items: 2,
    startPosition: 2
    },
    760: {

    items: 3,
    startPosition: 2
    },
    1000: {
    items: 4,
    startPosition: 2
    }
    }
    });

    And this file, /newmagz/functions/theme-functions/theme-support.php:

    add_image_size('newmagz-featured-slider', 294, 379, true); // Featured slider images (Header)

    default size is 294×379, you can adjust it. Please note, if you edit the PHP file, you need to regenerate thumbnails using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Add this code into /newmagz/header.php file (inside <head> tag):

    <link rel="shortcut icon"
    type="image/png"
    href="http://example.com/myicon.png">

    replace href value, with your icon/image url

    Eg:

    <head>
    [...]
    <link rel="shortcut icon"
    type="image/png"
    href="http://example.com/myicon.png">

    <?php wp_head(); ?>

  49. Hi.

    On this version you can’t select a posts, you only can select categories. However you can do this trick.

    1. Create a category, eg: Featured

    2. Flag your posts with Featured category

    3. Select Featured category via Visual Composer.

    There is no option to add Custom Avatar, User must register to Gravatar http://gravatar.com/,

  53. Hi,
    is there any way to set a ‘fixed height’ to the images of the featured slider (Warrior Carousel / Owl Carousel) ?

    When the title of a featured post becomes 2 lines long the title area (div class=”entry-content”) protrudes into the image thumbnail area, therefore making the image thumbnail appear smaller. As a result we currently have four featured thumbnails with two different sizes which, as I’m sure you’ll understand, looks a bit messy.

    We really need to have all featured thumbnail images the same size, regardless if the post title (h3 class=”post-title) is one line long or two lines long.

    Please refer to our website:
    http://www.agendani.com/

    Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance for the support!

  55. Hi.

    We’re sorry for the delay, because we didn’t receive your previous message. Please wait…

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi.

    It’s possible, you can follow these steps:

    1. open /newmagz/functions/theme-functions/theme-support.php, find this line:

    add_image_size('newmagz-featured-slider', 294, 379, true); // Featured slider images (Header)

    replace 379 with 294

    2. Add the following css code to custom.css file:

    .owl-carousel .owl-item img {
    max-height: 294px !important;
    }
    article.hentry.slider-post .entry-content {
    position: relative !important;
    }

    3. Regenerate thumbnail using https://id.wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    4. Clear your browser cache, and refresh page

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hi Tom,
    that worked perfectly!

    Thanks again for the support.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hi. I could use some help in regards to the Post List Types.

    I’ve created multiple pages that use the Post List Type 1-4, and the problem I’m having is my “post content” is missing from those lists. I’ve experimented with different numbers in the “Post Content Limiter, ” but nothing ever appears.

    After even more digging I realized that the post content doesn’t show up for any posts that use visual composer for formatting. Is there a fix for this or a check box I seem to be missing?

    Everything else is working great; I’m really happy with the theme.

  59. Hi.

  61. Hi Tom,
    we are still experiencing layout problems with this theme. As before, the Default template breaks when we add a row then add either of the Post List Types to pull in our categories and posts. Again, the two column layout only breaks when we try to use either of the Post List Types (Post List Types 1 – 4).

    There are no empty categories being used (i.e. using post type 3, but there is no posts under selected categories). Also, our titles are matching the category name and the slug. (i.e. Post type 3 Title = “Data innovation”; Category Name = “Data Innovation”; slug = “data-innovation”)

    Previously, we were experiencing layout problems when the titles, category name and slug didn’t match. However, recently we have been randomly experiencing layout issues despite the title, category name and slug all matching.

    This is clearly a bug – we would be grateful if you could let us know when you’ll be releasing an theme update to fix this?

    Many thanks

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hello.
