Note: You need change ‘your-image-url’ to your image url.

1/I’d like to set a static homepage with a penci slider on the top, and some recents post and popular post. I tried but it doesn’t seem to work, it seems that the only way is to set the homepage as last posts. But by doing that, i cant’ add anything on it appart some widget on the sidebar

ReplyDeletewell no that was not what I meant. I do know about the basic functionality of wordpress .
My problem is, that even if a picture, linking to its attachment page, is inserted with “large” instead of medium, it is displayed in medium size on the attachment page. Please check this article: http://on-the-road-again.eu/2012/09/tag-7-monaco/ and click on the first picture. Although it is on “large” in the article, it is just medium on the attachment page.
I was able to change that by editing the wp-includes\post-template.php. The function prepend_attachment() has a line $p .= wp_get_attachment_link(0, ‘medium’, false); ... you can change medium to large here, that does the job. The problem is that this gets resetted on every wordpress update. I would like to have that change permanently in order to avoid having to patch it after every update.
Also I would like images on the attachmentpage to be centered. How do I do that?

1/ I think you can edit the size for medium or large size on admin > Settings > Media. After you edit it, when you upload a new image, you can select the size you want.
2/ Unfortunately, no ways to make it centered by default.

I don’t want to change the default size for a medium sized image, I want to make the theme display large images by default instead of medium ones on the attachment page. There has to be some kind of modification to the theme (or possibly wordpress) which allows me to do so. Any idea how?

1/ Please fill your social media link in Customize > Social Media Options
2/ To do that, please make sure:
- The plugin “Instagram Slider Widget” are already installed and activated.
- Your instagram account is not private.
- Make your config like this image

On the Homepage Layout the Standard and Classic posts layouts don’t choose the featured image, they take the other image instead and sometimes more than one picture. All other choices (like Grid, Masonry, List…) the featured image is chosen. How can I choose for the Featured image (and only that image alone) to be chosen for the Standard and Classic posts as well?

Hi, that choice is not available under Customize > Standard & Classic Layout Options. The choices I have are: Hide Icon Post Format on Standard Layout, Hide Post Thumbnail, hide Share Box, Hide Category, Hide Post Author, Hide Post date, Hide Comment Count. The only thing I have checked is Hide Comment Count.
