  3. I purchased your Elbe theme for Jekyll and am experiencing some issues with what I believe to be the Javascript on my online version. Everything appears to work fine when viewing my site via “jekyll serve” on my local machine. However, it appears that the Javascript is not working properly when I view the site that has been pushed online (hosted on Github). You can see what is happening here:
    http://bluelena69.github.io/

Any ideas why the Javascript is not working?

I am also encountering some issues in compiling libs.js. CodeKit says “Compiled libs.js” and then it reports over 1000 issues. Any idea what is happening with this? I am not sure if this is related to the above issue…

  4. Where can I find the documentation?

  5. You can find it after you uncompress the package you downloaded from themeforest in the doc folder.

  6. is it just plain jekyll, or is it build with ruby gems? i mean does it have a gemfile for ruby plugins to be installed on top of it, or grunt/gulp to concat/minimise files ?

  7. It’s just plain jekyll, but you can create a Gemfile and add plugins according to https://jekyllrb.com/docs/plugins/

  8. Hi.

Thanks for a great theme. I have some questions.

    1. Is it possible to resize the top images in the slider on the front page? I would like to decrease the height so they don’t take up the whole page. Even if I crop the images to the size/ratio I want, the theme resizes them to fill up the full page (and crops them automatically).
    2. Is it possible to have the top images in the slider auto-rotate (every 1 seconds or so)?

    Thanks, Jonas.

  9. Hi.

Did you see my question above? I’d really like to get value of the support that was included. Stuck as it is.

    Thanks, Jonas.

  10. 1. Please edit file css/style.css, search for ”.modDefaultSlider .sequence”, change the height value.

    2. You can edit file javascripts/app.js.

  11. Hi, just pushing the template to github pages and I’ve noticed someone else is having the same problem I am having (bluelena69). javascripts/lib.js is not available on the live version of the site, whats the solution?

  12. Hi, github doesn’t support plugins, you should compile the lib.js.bundle file locally, then get the lib.js and upload it to github.

  13. Hi honryou, I’m still having this problem of the javascript lib.js file not appearing on the live site on github pages. Am I missing something with the build process? Thanks

  15. Is there a reason why a formkeep form action wouldn’t be working on the contact form on this theme? All we do is add the formkeep form action and the form no doesn’t submit.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The form uses javascript validation to handle form submission, you can find the related code at javascripts/app.js line 72-88. Regarding your situation, I think you can delete that code snippets to make the formkeep work.

  17. Hey hi, I downloaded this elbe theme and its great.

But I have an issue and a question.

In the about section it shows skills with a percent bar, the testimonial and home page photos all have some graphic associated. It works when I open through a linux system and does not when opened through a windows machine.

Also how do I change the general color of grey to other color?

  18. Hi,

I have tested them in IE10 and IE11, they work fine.

You should edit file css/style.css to change the color.
