It offers the ability for users to submit content to your website via a custom made form. All the submitted posts are inserted as pending posts so a moderator can review the submission and do any changes if necessary. Once a submission has been reviewed a moderator can publish the post on the website.
Posts on the website can then be up or down voted by users. The theme includes a special “Popular posts” page template which you can use to show what posts are trending at the moment.
The algorithm works similar to how sites like Reddit order content by popularity.
The theme also offers a simple but powerful theme options page where you can change multiple aspects of the design and functionality with a click of a button. All options are thoroughly explained so even the novice WordPress users will have no issue working with it.

ReplyDeleteI have been having the same issue for months, drove me crazy.
Finally figured out that is was caused by the theme authors including acf (Advanced Custom Fields) inside of the theme. Downloading the latest version of the plugin and extracting/overwriting the acf files in the theme folder solved the issue for myself.

Sorry, just noticed something. When extracting and overwriting the newly downloaded acf files, the theme goes completely out of whack. Luckily I backed up the previous files and just re-extracted them. Theme is working again and the notification is still gone.
ReplyDeleteThe only issue now is the “Add Post” link in the drop down reflects any page you are on and not ”/submit-a-post” as it should.
Any plans to update this theme? Had a buddy who purchased it, really loves it. I’d like to give it a try but noticed it hasn’t been updated since January 28th. Noticed a few odd things. User submitted posts have no way to add images inside the post, only at the end. Is there any plan to add with-in post image functionality? Also, I noticed that the featured image is always on the bottom instead of the top. Would love to have the option to display it on top or with a video if using that feature. I’m also interested in letting people add reviews through the add post option. A simple score box that appears on the bottom would solve that problem. Let me know!

Before purchasing this theme, that looks great, I’m waiting for an update that provides a rich text editor, with-in post image functionality. In short: Like Medium, with formatting text options, including images… I think this won’t be possible viewing that author has vanished and there are no answers. I really don’t understand why they create such an awesome theme that could be a best seller and they disregard updates and customer support.

I don’t understand why you have neglected your most sold out theme or product,by not providing support and a latest update. If you can’t maintain it, why not sell the theme rights to a company that can carry on with your great work. This theme is brilliant but needs updates and support.
