I wrote you an email on – energeticthemes@gmail.com concerning the new wordpress update that has broken my page.. Seems like there is something wrong with either the themes plugins or the theme..
ReplyDeleteI also contacted my webhotel asking if they can do a backup of the page – but would be a lot better if you could just fix the error that broke it.. One should be able to update to the latest wordpress version without it ruining the hours of work put into the design Im sure its just a small thing, but I really need the page up and running again (:

ReplyDelete1. How can I make the blog page be full width without any sidebars?
2. Is there a way to customize how the blog posts are styled under “content elements”? For instance, not having an excerpt of the post just the featured image and title?
3. How can I add a WooCommerce Shopping cart icon next to the search icon on the header?
I figured out how to change the template to full width for the blog page. So you can disregard that question.

ReplyDeleteThis issue is not related to Grand theme its from your server side. Pleas try to upload theme by FTP.
Step 1 – Log into your hosting space via an FTP software
Step 2 – Unzip the Grand.zip file and only use the extracted Grand theme folder
Step 3 – Upload the extracted Grand theme folder into wp-content > themes folder
Step 4 – Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.
Step 5 – After activate theme you will see a notification message to activate the required and recommended plugins: Unyson, Redux Framework, WooSidebars and Neat Slider. Follow the steps to install and activate each plugin.
For more information about ”Are you sure you want to do this?” error please google this error.

ReplyDeleteI have to reach out to you as the theme author for some reason has not answered my support questions so I ask of you for your help
1. Does anyone know how to import the demo content for http://www.energeticthemes.com/themes/grand7/
Because if I can import the demo content I can then reverse engineer the content and pages and simply edit as appropriate to read the content we want to show.
2. I have tried creating the style of that version of theme (i,e grand 7) manually however when I create a new page it becomes a separate page on its own and not in the same parallax style as on the grand 7 version.
So for example I have Home, About, Contact & Services these pages come up at the top menu and then open up a new page in a new tab when clicked. So its not the parallax effect, therefore any help to create the parallax effect would be much appreciated.

Solution 1: Upload the site through FTP (your hosting can help)
Solution 2 (Easiest) : Tell your hosting support team to increase this for you
Just increase the size of file upload and execution time.
max_execution_time = 180
max_input_time = 600
post_max_size = 128M
upload_max_filesize = 256M
And then upload it through wordpress dashboard appearance themes upload and it should work.

ReplyDeleteHi, I’m not a developer but I purchased this theme to hand to my developer. I say that to say I don’t understand the jargon. But he and 4 other developers have not gotten the footer or the sliders to work. The main problem being that the footer says “area not defined”. I have been in limbo and a week behind due to this. I have had to purchase another template. All in all I’m really only interested in a refund as I was not able to use this template.

pre-sale question. I want to switch themes because I need to have navigation on top of the revolution slider and see you can do this. I have used unison page builder before and really think it is solid. The only thing is that the videos in the portfolio need to pop up (like the way it is on the page) can your theme do this? All sorted, thanks. One other thing, any idea why I’m getting a highlight blue box around my top menu? It might be because I’m still creating but I’ve not seen that before on another theme
ReplyDeleteSince Google changed the embedded map protocol to a secure API in June, the embedded map function doesn’t work in this theme. I can’t update the map to a new address without getting an error. This isn’t something that I personally need support on, but an aspect of the theme that hasn’t been updated to the most recent API protocol. I’ve never had a problem with this theme, so I’m at a loss for what to do. This isn’t a personal support issue. When are you going to address this problem in a theme update? Thank you!

ReplyDeleteIt seems that there is a bug on your new updates. This can be found in the mobile view of the theme and also in http://www.energeticthemes.com/themes/grand2/
The bug is when you click the search icon found on the menu in the mobile devices, the menu automatically closes. Could you please have a look at this and find provide us with a fix.

What version of PHP is supported by this theme? I recently moved my site from server with PHP 5.6 to new server with PHP 5.4 and the site broke.

MySQL version 5.0 or greater.
Deactivate all plugins and check again. Maybe some required PHP 5.6. I suggest to upgrade PHP version. Ask to your hosting company to upgrade it they will definitely do.
