Can you please tell me whats the difference between the Main Attorney Theme and the Child theme?? I am about to install the wordpress version into a client. I assume I use the Attorney theme. But what do I do with the Child Theme?

Child theme is used to make style and functions to the main theme, without editing the core files. For example if you need to overwrite the background with red color, you can write a css code inside the child theme files. So this change will not be overwritten during theme updates.

So if i have the main Attorney theme installed and the Child theme installed – only one of them can be activated ?? So if i make changes in the child theme that needs to be the active theme. the main Attorney them wouldnt be active???? Can you please explain a bit more details our give me a link to figure this out.

Can you please advise me urgently. I have just updated my clients site using this theme and the Appointments page hangs the entire platform. The combos fill the required data but as soon as you click on the red “SHOW TIME” button it hangs. This is a Lawyers website and i need to fix this before their office opens on Monday.

Thank you for resolving my previous issues. Can you tell me in the CALENDAR module – Calendar Resevations System that displays the appointments made on the reservations system, A user (attorney can check and edit the booked appointment ) on the top of the CALENDER WIDGET are the names of the Attorneys. Does a USER need to be logged in with the same email address in their profile to see and access the Calender Widget? I set up a user as an EDITOR in wordpress and when i logged ini cant see the Calendar Widget in the menu on the left (logged into WP ADMIN as Editor). ?

ReplyDelete1) Only the admin can view the appointments made by the user to for an attorney. The attorney will just receive an email about his appointment.
2) Sorry we do not have that feature in our theme. You can try with some external plugins.

One the ATTORNEYS PAGE – the TITLE in the RED BOX is “ATTORNEY ARCHIVES”. I cant find where to edit the actual attorney page to change this label. Can you point me in the right direction please.

Help! We aren’t able to send/ receive emails through our contact form! I’ve tried Contact Form 7 and got an error and gravity forms. We contacted our web host to no avail. Is it a problem with the theme?

Can you please verify if the RTL is supported even if not using WPML and using another plugin like xtranslate, or polylang?

Hello, How do you install DesignThemes Core Shortcode Plugins? It says I do not give a valid URL? My url is valid (I am on a test.mainsite.com URL). Also where is the documentation? My employer just wants the theme to look exactly how it does in the live preview, with color changes and 1 or 2 additions.

2) The theme documentation is available in your theme folder please have a look. Make sure you have followed all the steps mentioned below,
i) You need to install the dummy contents from Dashboard > Attorney > General > Import Dummy Data ( Top right corner).
ii) Then update the permalinks from Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks.
iii) Change the home page from Dashboard > Settings > Readings.
iv) Update the menus locations from Dashboard > Appearance > Menus -> Menu Locations.
v) Add slider to layerslider or revolution slider and add it to the home page using the slider options below the editor section.

Thank you @rsriram. I was able to use the video to get a template. How do I make the landing page the home page. In the video, on the “home” page, there is a navigation link for “Landing Page.” However, I would like the Landing page to be the HOME page, with a link to blog and portfolio, and for the the “home” page to not exist.

So please go to Dashboard / Appearance / Menus please remove duplicated menu and check it out. Thank you for your response. I was not able to get the purchase code information successfully from your links. Is it because I bought it here and not from themeforrest or from your website?
ReplyDeleteBecause of that, I decided to come back here to get assistance. I have 3 more things to complete before I can present this as finished. How can I change the theme skin colors. The skins come with two colors each but they don’t fit what the client needs. They have their own colors. Similar to the blue theme but different.
I will continue working on the other two issues before I ask here. Thank you for your help.
