Hello! I purchased this template. Developing it, all links seem to be dead. How can I fix this?
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteTry to add class” external” for external links on homepage menu. You can see the documentation for the detail about menus.cheers
Thank you! I’ll give that a try. I appreciate your quick reply. Also, I can’t seem to download the Beuh plugin provided in documents. Any other way I can go about doing this? Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHi there,Sorry its look like its my mistake, its not beuh plugin, but aslina plugin, its inside your theme folder ->inc folder ->plugins folder ->aslina_plugin.zip It should automatically installed when you first use the theme.cheers
ReplyDeleteDoes this work with Wistia video?
ReplyDeleteSpecifically the background videos.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteYou can use the embed code from wistia for portfolio posts or any post. But for the background video, you need to have the directlink for the video, and i doubt that wistia have this features. Maybe you can try to upload your video in youtube so you can have background videos from outside of your site.hope this helps, cheers
Just purchased the theme, this image is not found: ”/wp-content/themes/aslina-one-page-portfolio-theme/images/about.jpg”
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know. But those image meant to be a placeholder image. You can change that with your own image in theme options->section setting->about tab->About Big/Background Image
cheers
Thanks for the answer, I just realized it after sending the message. Good work. The theme is really well done and lightweight.
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome And thanks for your kind wordscheers
ReplyDeleteHi there. I am having this problem:
ReplyDeleteI did a portfolio post for testing purposes. My portfolio format is video and the video is an mp4 locally hosted.
When I go to the works section and i click the test post, it loads, but the video is tiny (570×300). I checked the class for the video element wrapper and it is “video”.
But if I use a vimeo source, the video shows in the correct size (and the class for the video wrapper element is “fluid-width-video-wrapper” ).
My question: How can i have the locally hosted mp4 also in the full width size?
Thanks for your time!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteYou can choose the portfolio format into audio and input the embed/iframe code there so you can set the width & height there. eg.
<iframe width="1200" height="800" src="http://yoursite.com/video.mp4"></iframe>
But remember, this video wont be responsive(like the vimeo/youtube video), in smaller screen, the width will be 100% but the height still the same. You might want to use youtube/vimeo to host the video so it will be responsive in any screen.cheers
Hosting in youtube or vimeo is not possible because it is adult content. And setting a width and height would break the responsive layout, one of the reasons i choose your theme. I think the problem is that for some reason, in portfolio.js, fitVids() is not being applied to the locally hosted videos.
ReplyDeleteFitvids need the link to be exact for custom hosted video, thats why im not used it. But you can add the custom code in portfolio.js for that.
ReplyDeleteSee the detail in here https://github.com/davatron5000/FitVids.js#add-your-own-video-vendor
So the code will be something like this
$(".worksajax").fitVids({ customSelector: "iframe[src^='http://yoursite.com']"});
Thanks so much! That solved the situation, although it was a bit complex to set it up in a child theme!
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome Im glad you can solved it cheers
ReplyDeleteHello. I can not get the page to work on any mobile device. The video just doesn’t load and i get a black background. This also happens with the demo.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteThe video will never be play in mobile device because of the limitation of mobile device. Thats why its changed into images on mobile device, like the demo page.cheers
Hi! I am trying the demo page and i also get a grey background with “custom homepage”, but not fallback to images. I have tried with real mobile devices and also with device mode in chrome developer. It only works in “homepage video”.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know. Its look like there is some mistake in here. Im gonna release the update soon to fix this.
cheers
Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome And now you can download the updated version
ReplyDeleteThanks! that was super fast. Do i need to do any change? because I just updated theme-options.php and style.css but my custom layout homepage still shows black instead of video when viewed in a mobile device.
ReplyDeleteYou need to insert/upload the background image for the mobile view in theme options.
ReplyDeletecheers
Thanks so much! For some reason the image i was using was not rendering. Maybe because of the size (1500×500). But i changed it and it is working perfectly.
ReplyDeleteOk cool, im glad to hear that cheers
ReplyDeleteHi, I would like to purchase this theme but am wondering if I will be fine using it if I don’t have any coding background. This will be my first time using a theme for my site. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteThis is a wordpress theme, so if you understand about wordpress( http://wordpress.org/ ) it should be fine. No need coding background about it, as long you’re trying to create website with the same style/layout as the demos.
cheers
