  1. Hi,
Is it possible to add more custom text fields in Background Cover section on Portfolio item?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Hi there,

yes, this is certainly possible, but you would have to modify the Yama Metaboxes plugin, which is in charge of handling custom metaboxes. One or two additional files would have to be customized in the theme itself, so this is definitely a task for a freelancer/developer.

By the way, all support is strictly handled via a dedicated support forum, available at http://onioneye.ticksy.com/, so for any further questions, please head out there and submit a ticket.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

  3. hi there, i have purchased your theme which is great and very organized. I just want to ask is it possible to make 2 different portfolios in different pages with different content and categories? Should i make somehow a clone of the portfolio?

  4. Hi there,

glad you find the theme great! Thank you for your purchase!

As far as your questions go, having multiple portfolios is not possible out of the box I’m afraid. There is quite a bit of work involved in making this happen, so I would suggest hiring a freelancer for the task, if you can’t do it yourself.

By the way, support is offered via the forum found at https://onioneye.ticksy.com/, so if you have any other questions related to the theme, please open a ticket there, and my staff will respond in a timely manner.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Sincerely,

  5. Hey, guys!
Are you making updates to the theme as to apply to the newer versions of Wordpress?
I have tryed to update a wordpress site to the latest of the versions (4.5) but it apperared this sentence when openning a portfolio project or even the portfolio page in the admin background:

    http://maquetasmsh.com.ar/imagen/Captura.PNG

    Hope you can help me!
    Thanks a lot!

  7. Hi there,

that definitely looks like it’s coming from a plugin. Try to deactivate your plugins via the dashboard, or remove them via FTP, if the dashboard doesn’t work.

  8. Hey, OnionEye, I have updated the WP version for the second time to 4.5 and tryed deactivating each one of the plugins and got no further progress.
It seems it has nothing to do with an specific plugin. If it’s needed I can give you the access user and pass by a PM. My email is leonardo@magma.ag
I have already downgraded the WP version to it’s latest before 4.5 to get the hole site working properly.
Please let me know if there is any other possible solution as I would like to keep the site updated, in the 4.5 version and further more.
    Thanks!

  9. Hi there,

One thing I can say for sure at this moment is that this is not coming from the theme. Yama has been tried and tested with the latest version of WordPress and it is fully compatible with it.

That said, I am going to need you to post a ticket with a valid purchase code and renewed support extension over at https://onioneye.ticksy.com, so that my support staff can help you out in the best way possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Sincerely,

  10. Hi, OnionEye, I tryed to send a ticket via ticksy but it tells me that the purchase code has expired. I know that the support has expired but please understand that the problem that I am having is due to a general Wordpress update in relation to your theme. You asked me to deactivate all the plugins to check if the problem could get solved or not, I did the WP update, deactivated all the plugins but the problem kept on happening.

I wanted to send you the acces info to the site via ticket, and please understand that as it is a problem that was not generated on my, or my client’s end it is not my intention to extend the support license to solve a problem that should have not been generated in the first place.

    Thanks for your understanding.

  11. In fact, your issue has nothing to do with the Yama theme. It is a general WordPress problem, and for such issues, I urge you to contact your host or post a question to the general WordPress forum at WordPress.org.

To save you some time, other people have also had the same issue, and have already posted it on the WordPress.org forums, so I am going to direct you there: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-45-error-after-update

    Good luck!

  12. Hey, OnionEye, sorry on re rough answer. It did not have anything to do with the Yama theme. I was not updating the core files correctly and that was breaking the site.
I am really sorry on the response and on the other hand really thankful on the guidance to find the solution.
    Cheers!

  14. Does Yama support child themes? thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, there is one available for you in the theme’s main download!

  16. wonderful! Thanks! one more question: is there a parallax option available for the top image, as in your Takk theme?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi there,

    you are very much welcome!

There is no said option for the top image, but somebody who has knowledge of CSS should be able to easily make the image parallax. I suggest using the following technique for the best results: http://keithclark.co.uk/articles/pure-css-parallax-websites/

  18. Hey guys! Are the visual composer and the revolution slider included in your theme, or do you have to buy it additionally? Thx! Best regards

  19. Hi there,

thank you for your interest in the Yama theme!

The mentioned plugins are not bundled with Yama, so they would have to be bought separately, if you need them.

  20. Hi! Great Theme! But before I buy I have have a question. The Text which appear when hovering over each portfolio project is not shown on Iphone or Ipad. Even by tapping on it. Can I make this text visible for responsive use?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi there,

glad you find the theme great! Thank you for your interest in it!

Regarding your question, this is normal behavior on most sites that have thumbnail overlays because mobile devices don’t have support for the hover event. Furthermore, it is not a good practice to make the user double tap the thumbs to go to the item, which is why the hover event is ignored.

The best solution in your case would be to show the titles by default on mobile. I’ve come up with a quick solution for you with some custom and simple CSS, which you can check over here: http://snippi.com/s/jciti5r

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!

  23. Hello, I love your theme but, before to purchase it, I need to know:

    • if it’s possible to put in the header a language selector (Can I use qtranslate X?)

    • if it’s possible to put in the header the logo because it sems text and

    • if the footer is customizable, because I need to put some images and links.
Best regards and thanks in advance.

  24. Hi Elena,

glad you love the theme! Thank you for your interest in it.

    To answer your questions:

    1) The theme works with WPML, but I am honestly not sure about qtranslate X.

    2) Most certainly. You can easily put a logo image via one of the options offered to you in the theme options panel.

    3) You can put links in there via the standard Menus WordPress option, just like you see in the demo, but adding additional media content would require some code customization, I’m afraid. It should be very easy though, for anyone who knows a bit of HTML/CSS code.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions about the theme.

    Sincerely,

    OnionEye
