ReplyDeleteWhen I use the validation tool (https://www.totalvalidator.com/downloads/index.html) to test the webpages (http://www.mflextechdesign.com/ln-brand), the tool generates the following error:
http://prntscr.com/e3gu6s
It seems that the Web Accessibility standard does not support the syntax.
Please advise.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteIn order to get rid of that error, simply split the the link tag into 2, like this: http://prnt.sc/e4cslx
What triggers the error, is the character ” | “
Thanks,
Bogdan
Fixed. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteHi,
would you please tell me, where I have to add the code, that my carousel is of the same width as the divider or text?
Please see my webpage (http://www.ebk-koeln.de/erster-tag-der-offenen-tuer.html).
I want the photos to be exactly as long (in length) as the divider below it. The pictures in the carousel have a size of 1170 px x 658 px.
Furthermore, is there anything I can do so that the bg-image at the top of the page doesn’t need a second to resize when I reload/refresh the page? It is not a big deal, but it would be nice if the users wouldn’t see the picture resize.
Thank you very much
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI’m not sure I’ve understood correctly, but if you want to change the height of a slider, open script.js and take a look at this screenshot: http://prnt.sc/e582r4
For the image load, I recommend using a parallax image instead, so it would load faster. You can create a div tag within that section and set the preferred height via a style attribute. You’ll find an example here: http://abusinesstheme.com/demo/palas/index_04.html
Let me know if any of this was helpful for you.

Hi Bogdan,
ReplyDeleteI’m talking about the width of the carousel pictures. Check out this picture from my website:
http://carsten-arntz.de/width.png
I only want the picture to go as large in width until the red line. Everything beyond the red line (right) should be gone.
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Carsten
Hi Carsten,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the image, now it’s easier for me to understand. There are some issues with the grid classes you used. First, you can’t have a container class inside another container class ( http://prnt.sc/e5lpso ). Put the thumbnail class on a parent tag, not on a col-sm-* class, because it overrides the paddings ( http://prnt.sc/e5lqtd ). Also, have you changed some classes within the bootstrap framework? All the col-... classes have a padding-left of 30px, when it should have only 15px ( http://prnt.sc/e5lrzt ).
Practically, there are some padding issues and it can be easily solved by using a web developer tool. Also, I recommend reading about the bootstrap grid system and don’t make any changes within, just create a new css file and put your code there: http://getbootstrap.com/css/#grid
Hope this helps.
Thanks,Bogdan
Thank you for your help, Bogdan. I will make the changes according to your recommendations. Good advice!
