  1. I want to use Single Article Sidebar how Articles Template

How Can I do it? I have not found in the documentation template.

    Thanks.

  3. Hey there, just another short question: I see a error message when I want to comment on a post as unregistered user. It says “Please fill the Message field!” even if there is content. You can see it live here: http://www.tokography.com/2015/10/fotokalender-perspektivenwelt-2016-limitiert in the comments area. Any chance to get this solved or where to look to find a solution? Thanks and best regards!

  4. You’ve changed the value for the textarea name attribute, that’s why you have this issue.

Edit comments.php file and for the textarea field add name=”comment” value. Check the original file.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Same issue + wrong size of the textarea now. What else can this be?

    ReplyDelete
  6. You’ve changed the id, not the name attribute. You have this in your textarea: name=”62541-comment” . Replace it with name=”comment”. For the id, change it back to msg-contact.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I didn’t change anything around this area before asking and after installing the theme Tried it again: When I’m logged in as admin, the same thing name=”62541-comment” stands there but the comment can be posted without a problem. Then I switched to Wordpress’ standard theme and saw the same name=”62541-comment” but you’re also able to comment there as not registered user. So it shouldn’t have to do anything with plugins either.
Any idea where to look at? Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  8. As I said before in comments.php file, replace name=”62541-comment” with name=”comment” . After that, if you still have the issue, send me a private email with a temporary FTP login to check it out.

  10. hello, i found an answer to my home page question in the evoke editiorial . i have a different question now, i try to put author´s photo to have it on the article in small round format. i can not find where to upload this thumbail author photo? thank you

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi,
I’m glad you’ve figured it out the first issue.

If you want to add the author’s image, there are 2 possibilities. One, create an avatar with your user email address via gravatar.com and upload your photo there. Or go to Theme Options > General Settings > Custom Default Gravatar and upload your photo. Then go to Settings > Discussion > Default Avatar and select your image. Click Save Changes button.

  14. Hi guys, quick question, is the site optimized for adsense? and speed?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks for your interest regarding Evoke.

The theme is optimized for speed, but not for adsense. You’ll have to customize it for that. If you are interested we can discuss more details. Please send me an email via the contact form on my profile page.

  16. Thanks for adding reading time, but is there a way to combine it with a plugin so that the actual reading time is inserted automatically? I don’t want to have to go back through my hundreds of posts and estimate the reading time manually and re-edit every page. I downloaded a plugin and inserted the shortcode into the Reading Time field, but the shortcode code showed up, not the actual results of the shortcode.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks for using Evoke theme. Sorry, but what you want is not possible. If you don’t want to edit every post, let the reading time field blank and complete it only for the new articles.

If you have other questions, please send me an email via the contact form on my profile page.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thanks. My old theme “Ink” had it, so I know it is possible. I ended up downloading the “Reading Time” plugin that adds in the reading time to all of the posts (based on a 300 word per minute average reading time).

I can add it automatically to posts in the featured image place and as a widget, but couldn’t figure out how to add it to the home page featured images without it crashing the site. Feel free to visit my site to see what I’m talking about. http://www.jonhillenbrand.com.

    Happy holidays.

  19. Also, can you add the functionality to remove or customize what items appear in the related stories at the bottom of posts? Sometimes those posts are old or not related at all to the content of the post. For some of my series, I’d prefer to have posts in the same series or nothing at all. Maybe this could be done with a widget similar to the home page widgets in a page-wide widgetized area beneath the post text. Then adding a field in those home page widgets to customize the content would be great. And we could use “visibility” to determine when the customized widgets would appear.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Please send me the plugin link so I can test it. I’ll do my best to help you, but I want to let you know that I’m not responsible if a 3rd party plugin doesn’t fully work with my theme.

The related stories at the bottom of a post are displayed randomly if they are in the same category as the current article. What can be done is to set a date query parameter to show the articles after a specific date. Please send me an email via the contact form on my profile page to guide you.

    Happy New Year!

  28. How can I hide h1 title over the image header on a especific page?
There’s a way to do it using “page-id”? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes, you can use the page id.

    eg: .postid-5 h1 { display: none; }

where number 5 is the post ID. You’ll have to replace it with your own post ID number.

  30. Hi! I loved your theme. But I have a question: it’s possible to change the post’s font? It’s beautiful but a little hard to read.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks for your interest regarding Evoke theme.

Yes, you can change the post font via the WP Customizer.

Let me know if you have other questions.

  32. Hi. I bought the theme from yours, but i have an issue. I have a photography blog (feelyourlight.com). But I think de menu is taking so much space in the post. There are any way to when I roll the page down, hides the menu, and when I roll the page up, the menu shows again, like a lot of others themes? Thank you so much

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks for using Evoke theme.

What you want can be done, but it needs code customization. I can help you with that in exchange of a small fee ( this request is outside the standard item support ). If you are interested please send a private message and we’ll discuss the details. Thanks for understanding.

    ReplyDelete
  34. This is very disappointing. If costs “small fee”, why dont do it for free? If I wanted to pay more, i wouldn’t bought your theme, i should bought something like jupiter or another other very complete theme… =/

  38. Thanks for using Evoke theme.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the theme 1.5.0.

If you have other questions, please send me a private message with a link to your website.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks, i updated the theme to 1.5.0 and use the child theme. The homepage looks broke and just shows the featured image in large, while there is no more subtitle on the homepage and neither on the blog page. What happened ? Thanks !

  40. Please send me a message via the contact form on my profile page with a link to your website and also create a temporary WP admin user to check the issue.

  41. any plans to update this theme in 2017? would love to buy it, but just want to know that it is still getting updates! for example, additional share options would be nice (to linkedin, by email, etc), or displaying “tags” inside posts, or whatever else comes to mind…

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi, Thanks for your interest regarding Evoke theme.

We plan to do an update in the next couple of weeks. If you need a special feature just let us know.

Tags are available inside posts in the bottom right side of the featured image;) Check the demo.

If you want more share options you can use a plugin. There are a lot of options in the WordPress plugins directory.

  45. Hello,

    I have two questions:

    1. How can I move the logo from the left to the centre of the header? (below the menu)

    2. Is it possible to hide the category of the post in the post header? (I can’t seem to remove ‘In Uncategorised’)

    Thankyou

  47. Hi there,

I’m interested in purchasing this theme but just have a couple of questions before doing so. Is it possible to remove the title header on the home page so that the page begins with the layout of posts? And also, is it possible to insert an Instagram feed widget anywhere on the blog? Across the bottom of each page would be perfect if possible! Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Faye

  48. Hi Faye,

Thanks for your interest regarding Evoke theme.
    1. Yes, the title header can be removed.
    2. Yes, you can insert an Instagram widget in the footer. If you check the live demo now, you’ll see the Instagram feed at the bottom. I’ve added it for you as an example

If you have other questions, please send me a private message. Thanks!
