Hello, I just submitted a direct support request but am under a serious time crunch. there is something going on that the blog itself is ignoring all my changes. When I try to change the featured image for the page (so the large, banner image at the top), it does not change it.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.werthweinfamily.com/news/
And, then when I uncheck the option to show the featured image on an individual post (I only want it to be added so it shows on the homepage preview), it still shows the image on an individual post when the individual posts are on the full blog page – is it not possible to hide it there? I’d like the featured image only to show when it’s on the “excerpt” version on the home page?
Thank you -

A second comment – is there a way to have the Gallery for photos display on the right side of a post, instead of across the whole top of a post? Or do I need to use a Gallery Plugin for that? Thx.

I really love your theme, but something strange is happening. I added 4 new posts, set the preview image, and on one just typed in some jibberish so there would be some text there.
ReplyDeleteI have the site set to latest posts, which has them showing up fine.
I have also imported your demo, and they display as well.
When I go to the front page, everything displays as it should.
When I click on any of the 1st 4 to show me that post, it comes up with the 404 page.
Is there something else i am supposed to be doing to the post in edit mode to get this to work right?
Here is my website: http://ellenoffner.com/
Thanks in advance and I can’t wait to find out what I missed as this theme is really perfect for what I need.
Ellen
Hi, glad you like our theme! Sounds like a problem with permalinks. You should try and reset your permalinks: Go to settings > permalinks and select standard. Reload the pages of your site using the standard permalinks. Then go back to settings > permalinks and select pretty permalinks / Post name and reload the pages of your site.
ReplyDeleteIf this does not solve the issue feel free to send us a mail through the email form on our profile page or from the support tab and we will investigate further.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI´m so in love with your theme.
The installation worked very fine. However, after loading my website an error showed up and no I´m not able to customize the social icons setting because under the section “header & footer” they have disappeared. Do you know what I can do to bring them back ?
Best regards,

Hi there, great theme, it’s working really well so very happy. One question: we are presenting pictures in the format of a full width one column gallery and need to include credits for the images. Is there a way of adding hyperlinks to the picture captions? If not, in the image editor section of pages, is there a way we can create a few lines of space between each picture so we can add the hyperlinked credits there? Every time we try to press enter to add a line, it just deletes the gallery.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks in advance for your help.
Hi, If you are talking about images in the post and not with the featured image, then yes you can either add a link to your caption or add a link directly to your image, see attached: http://monosnap.com/image/GJkRyLjddnoqm6j8qSiwVQMQCsX2d2#

Many thanks for this. Problem is resolved now. I have a further question if I may?
ReplyDeleteI have a variety of menus which drop down to reveal other pages and I want to menu heading at the top to not link to a page of its own and to exist purely as a heading. Is there a way to do this? I set up the menu heading as a page initially just so I could list it at the top to keep things organised. Do I have to delete it as a page? Is there a way I can simply have a parental heading that doesn’t link to its own page? I hope this makes sense. Many many thanks in advance.

Is anyone else having trouble with their posts not looking the same when editing it. In editor my post looks centered and pictures are full size, but when I go and look at it on the website, the post isnt centered and the pictures are smaller. I have a huge white blank space on the right side of my post.
