Can you bring back the $16 non-WP version? It used to be available but no longer is. It seems to me that people would want to buy one or the other or both, and that having it available should not cause a problem for sales of the WP version. I hope it wasn’t removed because I asked a question about why one would want to buy this one vs. that one. I had even been considering buying both of them before I discovered the other one was removed, but now there is only this one. A person may sometimes want to use WP and sometimes not, and having both options would be desirable. It seems to me that those who want a WP version are so committed to having one that they would never even consider buying the cheaper one instead merely because it is cheaper.

ReplyDeleteWe did not create the non-WP HTML version of Gold.
It was created by user Bitpub and they decided to remove it along with other of their creations.
As far as we know, their decision has nothing to do with our WP version.
However the HTML version of Gold and psd files are included and
available with our WordPress version.

Hi there, I just realized that the theme is having some problem with the google analitycs function, I introduce it in the place you say but it doesn’t be working fine, becuaudse in my google panel i don’t receive any info.

ReplyDeleteWhen adding Google Analytics scripts don’t include the <script>,<script type=”text/javascript”> and </script> tags.
The google scripts may not work right away, it may take up 24 hours.
The new Themeforest standards advise against using a theme Google
Analytics fields.
Using a Google Analytics plugin is recommended instead.

will result.

Thank you for your reply, I was able to find file and activate but the page doesn’t look anything like the theme a bought, it looks as it isn’t done. It doesn’t show Pages, Features, Portfolio, Blog, Photos, etc,etc,etc.

Hello there! I loved the theme enough that I hit that buy button Now that I have your theme I am trying to find ways to change spacing, colors, font etc. Basically trying to customize but I do not see these options in the “Theme Options” area. Can you please help? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteYou can change the theme colors in “Theme Options” -> “Color scheme”
The the theme has no font changing options, you will need some coding knowledge to change it.
The spacings, borders and background can be controlled via Visual
Composer edit column or row button (the icon looks like a pencil).
Go to “Theme Options” -> “General” tab, write the following rule in the
“Custom CSS” field:
wrap {
max-width: 1200px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
Thank you for that. However, I updated the site with the new file and now I am getting errors. I will try to delete everything and try to install it again. In the mean time, can you please give me the code to change the font. It is an optometry site so I must change that the font to some other font that is easy to read otherwise this theme cannot work for me. And I would also like to put a picture as a background with the boxed layout , so if you could help me with these two things it would be great. Thank you!

- replace link_to_your_image with the link or path of your image
This theme doesn’t have a user friendly way to change the fonts, you
need to edit some theme files.
In order to add a new font add this code to functions.php file:
function my_font(){
wp_enqueue_style( ‘my_font_style’, ‘link_to_the_google_font’ );
}
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘my_font’ );
- replace link_to_the_google_font with the url of the font desired (
example: http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dosis:200,400,300 )
Open gold-wp/layout/css and search for “Open Sans” and “Dosis” in the
css files from this folder, then replace those font families with name
of your font family.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately no, currently this theme has such feature.
In order to update the theme, you should replace the outdated version
with the newer version.
If you don’t have direct ftp access, then you can delete the theme from WordPress interface then upload and install the updated version.
Normally there won’t be content loses upon replacing the theme with the updated version.

Please deactivate and delete your Visual Composer, after that install the version included with the theme.
It’s possible that something went wrong when you installed/updated Visual Composer, so please reinstall the version included with the theme.

Universal Analytics-Tracking-Code (Script) does not work in the Field for Analytics Javascript code.

The theme Analytics fields are no longer accepted by Themeforest, it’s recommended to use an Analytics plugin.

ReplyDeleteimport security changes or improvements.
We will update the theme if there will be incompatibilities with
WordPress or at least provide assistance.
However, don’t update the theme plugins, use the versions included with the theme.

Google Maps is not shown. Message:

The Problem was that my site is using ssl but the configered url to google maps is non-ssl (framework_setup.php must be edited?)

Add the file jquery.fitvids.js in gold-wp/layout/js
This should fix the google map ssl issue and the blog posts embedded videos should fit responsively
